Great places to visit in Sault Ste Marie,ON
Experience 5/5. I visited this in December 2022 winter. It's a great experience. If you are interested in snow hiking, this is great place. It's really beautiful.
We have visited here many times over the years. Not only is it close to Sault Ste. Marie but offers great views of Lake Superior as it forms into the St. Mary's River.
The lookout and conservation area are two separate destinations.
If you want the look out stay on secdon line till the end and park. Follow trail and stay left, it's only 500m. The conservation area can use the same parking lot but go right on the trail and upwards...
Sault ste marie to the west is captured by the coast of Lake Superior. Gros cap is the point where superior empties into the st mary's river. This area gives you a good view over lake superior.

Where is it
We followed directions ended up in the middle of no where. Big disappointment. The trail at the bottom is very unsafe. No rocks to be found.
make sure you include a visit to gros cap
