Unusual setting for art
Scattered around the station are a number of large pieces of sculpture. I had not realized their significance when I saw the first couple. The station is large and the works help fill in the space.
It is a free museum located in Asahikawa Station. I'm sorry for the people concerned, but I just entered because I happened to have free time. Photos are not allowed, so I will post only photos from the outside.
A small gallery located in the passage in front of the east ticket gate of Asahikawa Station. Free admission. When I visited, an exhibition entitled "Chairs Gallery" another small zoo "was held, and a small item with an animal motif and a 々 chair were exhibited. It is a good spot to kill time until the train leaves.
(Revisit) Inside the structure にあり, no materials for admission

It is on the right side of the passage next to the tourist information center after exiting the ticket gate near Kamikawa at Asahikawa Station. A branch of the Sculpture Museum built to commemorate Kojiro Nakahara, a sculptor who grew up in Asahikawa, and Asahikawa furniture is lined up in an open space and admission is free. It's relatively empty, so you can touch art while waiting for the train.
An art gallery on the premises of JR Asahikawa Station. It is positioned as an annex of the Sculpture Museum in Asahikawa city. Admission was free, and at the time of my visit, I was holding an exhibition of university students' works. You can easily use it in the train time town.

I'll put it in for free.
