Some people see the cliff shape as a whale, some people call it a T-Rex. Either way, we could spend hours on the top of the cliff looking down and trying to wrap our heads around this beauty. •Angell’s Billabong Angell’s Billabong is a distinctive rock formation just on the edge of a steep cliff and a powerful ocean. All together this creates the most unique natural pool we have ever seen and took a dip in. • Broken Beach One of the most picturesque places on Nusa Penida Island. (Below is my six-day five-night route sharing and experience sharing 🚗About Bali route arrangement/ Day1: The whole country flies to Bali, Bali only has one airport named Ngurah Rai Airport (DPS). After arriving in Bali, stay near the airport, there are many recommended hotels, all with private pools, and the price is not high 🏨 . Day2: The hotel near the airport goes to play on Penida Island. First, you can find boat ticket information in domestic travel software. You can make an appointment with the hotel in advance to arrange a car to the port. The port is named Sanur Harbour. The journey to Penida usually shows 40min but you need to set off 1.5h in advance to avoid traffic congestion (regular boat ticket 120r/round trip). When you arrive on the island, you can also charter a car to tour the whole Penida Island. The last boat from Penida is at 17:00 back to Seminyak 🏝️ . Day3: Depart from Seminyak to Ubud to experience the local water and soil culture. It takes 1.5h from Seminyak to Ubud by taxi, avoid the peak period of traffic. Ubud is the favorite place for digital nomads. The local customs are relatively strong. You can rent a car and tour Ubud for a whole day. Avoid the crowd and you can also go to the local waterfall to play 🍃 . Day4: Depart from Ubud to Lovina, the journey is about 3h. Lovina is a place with lower consumption in Bali. There are many local people who buy durians on the way from Ubud to Lovina. Here you can feel that you can buy a large durian for 30r, really achieve durian freedom! When you arrive in Lovina, you can let the hotel make a reservation or go to the beach by yourself. There are many local captains who introduce the dolphin chasing project. It is recommended to make a reservation for departure at sunrise 🌅 . Day5: Gather on the beach at 5:00 in the morning and set off to chase the sunrise! Because the weather at this moment is not very hot, and the dolphins are more active. After chasing the dolphins, you can also experience the snorkeling project, which only costs 25r/person. The captain will prepare equipment for you. After the whole journey is over, you can go back to the hotel to rest, and then you can start your journey back to Seminyak 🐬 . Day6: Get up in the morning and you can rent a motorcycle in Seminyak to go around. There are more entertainment projects in Seminyak. The motorcycle costs 50r a day. First time traveling abroad with kids, Shanghai✈️Hong Kong✈️Bali, the transfer was really tiring, but seeing the sea 🌊 was so liberating. ✈️Itinerary Day 1: After flying over mountains and rivers, we arrived in Hong Kong for a transfer. Although exhausted, the thought of the upcoming family trip to Bali filled our hearts with anticipation! Day 2: Early morning, we arrived in Bali. We checked into the dreamy VIVARA hotel. The pool here is crystal clear, seemingly connected to the sea. In the evening, we enjoyed a sunset seafood dinner, cherishing this rare family time. Day 3: We rented a car to visit Ubud Palace, feeling the weight of history. Then, we strolled around Ubud Market, looking for those unique small market items. In the afternoon, we walked through the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, admiring the layers of green fields. At dusk, we viewed the volcano from afar, feeling the grandeur and mystery of nature. Day 4: We checked into the Conrad Hotel, where the sea view room was refreshing. We walked along the beach with the kids, feeling the gentle sea breeze and enjoying happy family time. Day 5: At 7 AM, we rented a car to tour the west line of Nusa Penida for a day, visiting places like Kelingking Beach and Diamond Beach. 💚Pandawa Beach, Melasti Beach 💌The five-day family trip to Bali left us with countless beautiful memories. The scenery, food, and culture here are unforgettable. ‼️Who says Bali is only suitable for honeymoon destinations? It's also very suitable for traveling with kids.

This place really has a dreamy vibe. Unlike the gentle waves and soft beaches of other islands, the sea here is more about being surging, grand, and having the jelly blue of tumultuous waves. If you want to get up close and personal with the sea here, it's a game for the brave. 📌📌How to get there Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan are both next to Bali. It takes about an hour by boat from Sanur Pier. You can buy round-trip boat tickets to the island and then rent a car or motorcycle to explore, or you can simply join a day tour for convenience. Both have their advantages, so choose according to your own preferences and needs. 📷📷Must-visit spots 1️⃣ Devil's Tears - Nusa Lembongan An old but still very charming hotspot. The passionate royal blue waves crash against the rocks, creating huge sprays and dazzling rainbows in the sunlight. There used to be no fences, but now they have been built for safety reasons. Any corner around here is great for taking photos. 2️⃣ Dream Beach - Nusa Lembongan Next to Devil's Tears, the beach is small, but the sand is fine and soft, and the waves are great for surfing. You can sit in a café by the beach, drinking beverages and eating ice cream, and it really feels like summer. 3️⃣ Angel's Billabong - Nusa Penida The hottest spot is right here, with cliffs and precipices amidst the vast sea. The white, soft sand beach meets the surging jelly sea once again. This is also a location where Apple's iPhone wallpaper was shot. If you want to walk down to the beach, you need to hike a very steep and difficult trail. The round trip takes about 2 hours. 4️⃣ Crystal Bay - Nusa Penida The calm lake-like water next to the surging sea. This place is like a bath reserved for the gods. When the waves are small, you can walk down to the 'bath' to take photos. I even saw a group of dolphins jumping here! ‼️‼️Travel tips ✅ When taking photos, try using wide-angle and telephoto lenses for unexpected surprises!! You can try using 0.5x wide-angle for portraits and 5x telephoto for seaside shots. ✅ Bring sunscreen and a raincoat, as it is currently the rainy season in Indonesia, and heavy rain can come suddenly. ✅ The road conditions on Nusa Penida are quite poor, so if you plan to rent a motorcycle, assess your driving skills. ✅ If you have enough time, you can stay on Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Penida for one or two nights. If you're short on time or just want to check off a few classic spots for photos, a day tour will do. I took a day tour of both Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, and it was quite good. If it's a single island tour, there will be time for snorkeling and swimming. ✅ There are now many restaurants and convenience stores on the island, so there's no need to bring too much food with you.

This time the Bali plan includes 4 stops: Tulamben for diving, Ubud for culture and art, Nusa Lembongan to chase Manta rays, and Nusa Penida is of course for the Apple wallpaper. Because it's too hot and sunny during the day, there are always a lot of people at the cliff where the sprite falls, and taking photos is quite dangerous due to the simple wooden fence. You must pay attention to safety when taking photos. I really don't recommend going down to the beach🏖️, as the path is terrible and it's very exhausting to go down and up. I personally can't stand the heat and decided to give up. The Indonesian guy who guided us was very helpful, climbing up a tree to take photos for us with a better angle. Can you believe he even knows how to operate the camera🫢 Lastly, be careful of the monkeys; one of them snatched my water, bit the bottom of the bottle, and started drinking. You also need to be cautious of monkeys when taking photos, or the loss could be significant. Nusa Penida is still worth a visit. If you're short on time, I recommend taking the west route. The east route is farther. If you want to visit both the east and west routes, it's better to arrange two days❤️

Don’t be fooled, it is quite a trip to get down there. There are plenty of stairs and then just rocks to get down or climb on the way up. Very tiring, but promise it’s worth it! 💯 However, it is not recommended to swim there, at some days it’s not even allowed since the waves there get quite wild. You can for sure refresh yourself. Once you get down, you’ll find locals selling some cold drinks and snacks to help you out. There are also plenty of local restaurants and shops at the top that you can treat yourself after, trust me you’ll need it. 😪
