133***95There were so many tourists. It was the most visited attraction from Chiang Mai to Bangkok during the May Day holiday. It was very hot and I was sweating profusely after a while, so I just walked around and left. The hall where the Emerald Buddha is enshrined has fans, and everyone hid inside to rest, so there was hardly any space. The architectural carvings are very exquisite, and the buildings outside the palace are also very beautiful and photogenic. There is a cafe at the exit.From US$33.17

_TI***tnA lot of fun and a great view of the city for very cheap cost. Get on the top deck and wear a big hat and sunscreen for a great view of the city and many smaller boats (some which are really traditional and some which have big billboards stuck on top!) you can go past Wat Arun, many temples and attractions and much more. 10/10Free entry

_We***89If you feel bored and have extra time in the city, you can go there. I think it is quite interesting, but taking photos with animals is a bit expensive, so I didn’t want to take photos. The cowboy theater is very nice. It was my first time watching a dolphin show. I was lucky enough to be selected to go on stage with my friends to interact with the dolphins. This aquarium hidden in the basement of a shopping mall has turned the ocean into a marketable landscape commodity. Passing through the luxury counter and taking the escalator down, you will fall into a deep blue universe faked with acrylic and LED lights.
The 270-degree glass tunnel is a carefully designed intracranial climax. When a school of hammerhead sharks swam overhead, Thai students collectively exclaimed, while Chinese tourists were busy using beauty cameras to capture the magical picture of the school of fish and the Gucci billboard in the same frame. The most absurd is the underwater shrine exhibition area - koi and electronic lotus dance together in the landscape imitating Mahathat Temple, and faith and entertainment are stirred into an ornamental cocktail.
The diver feeding show exposed all the secrets. When staff members dressed up as Santa Claus and danced with sharks, and when rays crashed into the glass curtain wall to compete for frozen shrimp, the mysterious veil of the ocean was completely reduced to a footnote to the commercial script. The souvenir shop at the exit is even more cunning: the 699 baht glowing jellyfish lamp is clearly marking the shocking memory just now.
It is recommended to choose a night club to avoid the crowds. When the shadow of the manta ray passes through the empty glass curtain wall alone, when the automatic commentary stops playing, you may be able to hear the low hum of the circulation filtration system - that is the real heartbeat that keeps this artificial ocean breathing. Very recommended for people to take the buggy when you're here to fully explore the city. Also, clear your schedule for this place. You're gonna need one full day to explore this place in whole. In this neon-lit theater, gender is deconstructed into a marketable entertainment commodity. When the purple curtain was drawn, performers in rhinestone dresses stepped on high heels to appear on stage - their mascara could withstand the erosion of sweat, just like the secular prejudice that this industry must endure.
The essence of performance is a patchwork of cultural symbols. "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" and Korean dance are on the same stage, and the fingertips of traditional Thai dance and Broadway-style kicks alternately bombard the retina. The most magical part is the audience interaction: when a middle-aged male tourist was dragged onto the stage to imitate pole dancing, the laughter from the audience was mixed with subtle identity anxiety. Those bodies that are more feminine than women are deconstructing all definitions of gender with exaggerated coquettishness.
The sketches backstage are even more interesting. The "heroines" who smoked e-cigarettes while waiting for the stage, their mobile phone screensavers were photos of their parents in their hometown; the male edges covered by hairline powder were faintly emerging under the fluorescent lights. The photo service at the theater entrance (100 baht/photo) is clearly marked with a price tag, which accurately transforms this gender experiment into a unit of measurement for consumerism.
It is recommended to watch with a critical eye. When the background music of "Swan Lake" sounds and the transgender dancers raise their snow-white skirts, you will see how beauty and pain are woven into the lace of the entertainment industry.
