This is Khao San Road, also known as a haven for foreign backpackers. What you see here is literally what you get. A bustling street filled with bars and clubs. It’s extremely popular among the tourists. They typically gather here for some drinks. It’s super noisy but that’s the fun of it. However, it’s best not to rent a hotel nearby here because the music will play late into the night so don’t expect to get an undisturbed sleep here. Haha. Besides that, you’ll never be bored here. It’s so fun and loud. Definitely come here for a great night out with your buddies!
The historical core of the tourism sector that has evolved in the Banglamphu district is Khao San Road. Originally catering to travelers and described as a backpacker mecca, that description is no longer valid as of 2015, as it now attracts a diverse range of tourists, the majority of whom are not backpackers.
There are various restaurants, pubs, hotels, shops, and entertainment options on the street and in the surrounding area, especially at night when the entire neighborhood comes alive. It is Thailand's most densely populated tourist destination, with something for everyone from t-shirts to street food to beer and performances.

About exchange money
l Airport EXCHANGE counter exchange rate is very bad, it is recommended to withdraw cash at ATM. Online suggestion that the purple cash machine exchange rate is relatively good, the actual seems to be similar.
l The best exchange rate is Super Rich at the Terminal 21 light rail. Remember that it is 4.96. It is exchanged in RMB cash and there is no handling fee. The ATM will only display the Thai baht, and I want to know that the exchange rate should be calculated by mobile phone. The balance will be deducted 20B once.
grab download, it is very convenient, if there is a phone card, there will be a discount code~
Khao San Road is a street in Bangkok, Thailand. The English name is Khao San Road, which is a gathering place for backpackers. Speaking of Khao San Road, no one in the area knows.
For typical backpackers from all over the world, you have never been to Khao San Road as you have never been to Thailand. Many backpackers have chosen this place as the home of the smile country of tourism. Leonardo's film "Beach" used to be here.
Khao San is the meaning of glutinous rice in Thai. It used to be an old street where rice was stored. In 1982, the Thai government held many celebrations to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of Bangkok and the 2525 calendar. Tourists from all over the world flocked and accommodation was in short supply. Some backpackers went to Khao San Road, which is only a 20-minute walk from the Royal Palace, to find accommodation. As a result, local residents decided to accept these travelers at a low price. In this way, Khao San Road has started to cater to various businesses of farang (Thai: foreigners).
