Barcelona’s largest museum - in video 🎥
We visited 𝗠𝗡𝗔𝗖 (Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña) on the side hill of Montjuic mountain
The visit was a fantastic occasion to enjoy time with Marc’s family, parents, uncle, aunt, cousins…and be guided by his uncle - an artist in Barcelona - through the exhibitions inside the museum
Can’t express the beauty of this area, big esplanades, fountains, majestic staircases and an architectural jewel from beginning of the 20th century
However, the most impressive aspects is held inside the museum, that boasts artworks all the way back to the Catalan romanic time (11th century) until the Modern era
𝗠𝗡𝗔𝗖 is open 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟬𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟴𝗽𝗺 and 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟬𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟱𝗽𝗺 (summertime schedule)
*A tip for visitors, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟱𝗽𝗺 and the first Sunday of the month - better book in advance -
Prices vary depending on desired tour of the collections inside the museum: from 𝟮€ 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗳𝗲𝗲 to access the building and rooftop to 𝟭𝟮€ 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 that grants access to all the exhibitions

It is very large and quiet. Although I don't know art, it is good to see it. There are many different styles of flowers and design objects. You can see the city of Barcelona at the door. At night, I also met people who performed, looked at the city scenery, listened to the songs, very comfortable.
Tickets bought on Trip.com are very convenient, and you can enter by brushing the QR code. There is a rich collection in the museum, mainly works by Catalan artists, including painting sculptures and handmade, especially the murals of more than a dozen centuries ago.
National art museum of Catalonia is located at the plaza of Espanha square. The Palau was originally the Spanish Pavilion at the World Fair of 1929. After extensive renovation work it was reopened in 1997. Overall, the museum exhibits more than 260,000 works of art and is therefore the largest and most important museum in Barcelona .A alan Museum Act, the museum MNAC was founded in 1990 by the merger of the Museu d'Art de Catalunyand. The world's largest collection of Roman frescoes fills most of the rooms of the MNAC. The Romanesque frescoes date from the vestibule of 29 major Romanesque churches in the Pyrenees. So they could be saved before being destroyed by the Spanish Civil War. The frescoes are in so-called "ambits'. These are small demarcated areas. In each ambit you can get information about the church, from which the frescoes are. In addition, the MNAC shows countless sacred objects. The MNAC has the most important collection of Catalan art from the 19th Century and the first decades of the 20th Century. Several phases of art history changed in this time: neoclassicism, realism, modernism (Catalan Art Nouveau).
Especially convenient, just print it and scan it directly.
Must be praised, the exhibits inside are very good, the surrounding scenery is even better
