What travelers say:

The city of Barcelona was built under the rule of Augustus, the Roman Emperor. The Piazza San Haume is the birthplace of Barcelona and still plays the role of the political center of Barcelona. The government building of Catalonia stands opposite the government building of Barcelona on both sides of the square. The temple site of Augustus is located on the edge of St. Haume square, the highest point of the Dabel Hill, the highest point of the ancient Roman city. The temple is long gone, leaving only four huge Corinthian columns for visitors to visit.
