Outstanding
The riverbank and riverbed of Neijinshui River are paved with white stones. Only the remote areas such as Xiheyan are built with brick walls because eunuchs live there. The river body is wide or narrow, sometimes hidden and sometimes visible, depending on the situation in different regions. The river body turns freely, winding and embracing the palace buildings. The river body is 7.7 meters wide at the west court room, which is the widest part of the river. There are five bridges across the river - Jinshui Bridge. The bridge in the middle is the imperial road for the emperor to pass. The white stone railings on the bridge are carved with dragon and cloud pattern columns. The four bridges on the left and right are the roads for princes and officials to walk. They will decrease with the width of the river body, and their railings are torch-shaped with arc-carved column heads.
