based on 2972 reviewsJingshan Park is situated on the central axis of old Beijing. It was an imperial garden during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The park's central peak was once the highest point of the old city. The building at its summit, called the Wanchun Pavilion, is must-see for visitors to Jingshan Park. From here you can enjoy views of the whole of the center of Beijing, and photograph the whole of the Forbidden City. This is also where the last emperor of the Ming dynasty, the Chongzhen Emperor, committed suicide by hanging.

Show More ReviewsWe stopped at the park after visiting the Forbidden City. The park is very pleasant. The top view points were busy so you will likely need to wait to see the best views. there are other less busy viewpoints at different parts of the walk. it would be nice if there were more food options in the park.
