Great Wall of China#chinatrip We took the bus from Beijing up to the Great Wall starting at about 7am, hoping to beat the crowds. It was still crazy busy, but at least the morning weather was good for the climb. At the entrance, there are a bunch of shops selling food and souvenirs. There are even a couple bear habitats. From there, we opted for the "toboggan" to take us half way up, to the Fourth Tower. And then the real climb begins. To get all the way to the Eighth Tower is quite the climb. There are uneven steps, and smooth paths, sometimes reaching about a 45degre slope! It was really neat to see and the views are spectacular. Coming down was easier but still difficult in places with uneven steps and such. Overall, it really is a must see, but be prepared for the workout!Tala_Travel1012

Mutianyu Great WallThe Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is a must-visit for anyone looking to experience one of the new seven workers of the world. I recommend you to go there early in the morning to avoid crowds. We went there around 8 am and it wasn’t busy at all. However, on our way out around 12 am there was a long queue with many people waiting. Mutianyu offers a very peaceful and pleasant experience. The architecture is well-preserved and it is surrounded by greenery. Definitely the panoramic views are breathtaking. The cable car or chairlift will cost you an extra ¥140 (£15) for a return trip. If you purchase the return ticket, you can enjoy the toboggan ride down 🚠 Cable car vs. Chairlift: The cable car is enclosed, making it perfect if you’re visiting during colder months or want a more relaxed ride. The cable car opens at 8.30 AM. The chairlift, on the other hand, is open and offers stunning panoramic views on the way up. If you want to beat the crowds, we recommend the chairlift as it opens at 7.30 AM. We were the first up to the wall, and it was amazing!! 📸 Useful tip: Arrive early! The earlier you get there, the more time you’ll have to explore and enjoy the incredible views without crowds. The Great Wall in Mutianyu!🚌 I visited the Great Wall at Mutianyu. I went with a company called Mubus. They were amazing! For 150rmb, they provided a bus to and from the Great Wall, as well as covered ticket prices for entry. For additional costs, you can choose to toboggan down the wall! 🎋 I went in early March, which I highly recommend. It was quiet and still, allowing for perfect pictures and a much more laid back experience. While you may not have the lush greenery that surrounds the Great Wall during the summer months, there were many upsides to going off season. In addition to it being less crowded, it was also much cooler than it would be in the summer. ✨ The Great Wall really is so special and I am so happy I got to see it and hike it. Mutianyu 慕田峪长城 ⛰️Mutianyu (慕田峪长城) is one of the best-preserved and most picturesque sections of the Great Wall of China. It is located in the mountains 70 km northeast of Beijing. I liked this section of the wall much more than Badaling (八达岭). You can get here with a tour group or on your own. If you're going independently, you need to get to the Dongzhimen Public Transport Hub (东直门交通枢纽), take bus 916块, get off at the final stop Huairou Beidajie (怀柔北大街), cross the road, take bus H23, get off at Mutianyu Huandao (慕田峪环岛). Then walk back a little and you'll see the entrance to the ticket offices. Before the entrance to the wall, there is a parking lot, souvenir shops, and cafes. You can buy a ticket for the cable car and ride it to the 14th tower, then walk in either direction. I also recommend buying a ticket for the toboggan ride down from the Great Wall. It costs 100 yuan. The wall itself runs along the mountain ridges, rising to a height of 1,000 meters above sea level. The views are simply stunning - endless crenellated walls wind along the mountain ridges, disappearing into the distance. It's especially beautiful here on a clear day. Walking along the wall is quite a challenge due to the numerous steps and steep climbs. But the effort is worth it - the sight of the ancient stone structures, shrouded in legends and history, is mesmerizing. Overall, Mutianyu left an indelible impression on me. It is one of the must-see attractions when visiting Beijing and China. Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou District, Beijing. It connects Gubeikou in the east and Juyongguan in the west. The Great Wall is like a giant dragon and is very spectacular. Compared with Badaling Great Wall, this Great Wall has fewer people and a better experience. Overall, it is worth visiting.
I booked the ticket to include shuttle and the car-cable for my mom and I, and the view from the very start was amazing! We were lucky with the small amount of people for pictures!!🇨🇳🌸❤️
There are much fewer people here than at the Badaling Great Wall, and you can choose to go up and down the Great Wall by cable car, ropeway, or slide, which is very interesting. However, the slope is steeper than at the Badaling Great Wall, and it requires more physical and mental strength. Almost all attractions in Beijing have a free ticket policy for the elderly and minors, which is quite friendly.
It was a very happy trip. I booked a Zanbus on Ctrip. The tour guide was very attentive and added WeChat the day before to discuss the details of the trip. Going to the Great Wall, I chose the Zan bus in Trip.com , the meeting place is very convenient, Dengshikou subway station is out! The car is clean and tidy, and the tour guide introduced it clearly! It’s right to go to the Great Wall to choose the Zan bus 👍
After booking the tour the day before, the tour guide informed us of the time and boarding location. The next morning, we came out of Exit C of Dengshikou Subway Station and went directly to the tour guide to register and board the bus. The bus departed on time at 9 o'clock. We had foreign friends on the bus, so Guide Zhang explained the history of the Great Wall in Chinese and English. After the explanation, when counting the tickets, he found that it was my birthday that day, so he waived my fare. This birthday gift was still very warm. We also got a discount on tickets for our students. The tour time was five hours, which was plenty of time. The round trip was on the highway, there was no odor in the car, and the air conditioning was very cool. The bus was great👍
