Takujinkan seems to be an art gallery, I don’t remember it after going for too long! The scenery nearby is really beautiful. If you are interested, you can go and see for yourself. It seems that I went inside to look at the paintings, and I had to take off my shoes.
The best way to visit Biei is to ride a bicycle. After leaving Shikisai Hill, you will arrive at Takujinkan within a short ride. This was originally Chiyoda Elementary School, but it has been abandoned. In 1987, the photographer Maeda Shinzo converted the gymnasium of the elementary school into a photo gallery, showing the hills of Biei under his lens. There are more than 80 works, all of which are different in the beauty of Hokkaido throughout the year. It’s a pity that photos are not allowed, so we can only keep in mind the beauty of different seasons.
After more than half an hour of cycling from Shikisai no Oka, I arrived at Takushinkan, an art museum exhibiting the works of Japanese photographer Shinzo Maeda. The environment here is quiet, you can rest here after visiting.
Takujinkan is very close to Shikisai-no-Oka, so you can enjoy it when you ride Biei. Takujinkan is free of charge. It exhibits the photographs of the world-renowned Japanese landscape photographer Maeda Shinzo, who discovered the beauty of Biei. However, due to the protection of intellectual property rights, it is not possible to take pictures in the museum. You can only remember the viewing angle of the master in your heart. After you go out, you can carefully find out where you can take pictures in Biei.
Inside the museum are the works of the famous photographer Maeda Shinzo. They are all beautiful scenery around Biei. You can see a sea of lavender flowers from the observatory on the second floor. July is the best time!
