Bay of Kotor

The Bay of Kotor, full name Boka Kotorska Bay, is located on the Adriatic coast in southeastern Montenegro. It is an iconic bay shaped like a fjord. This bay consists of multiple small bays connected by long and narrow channels, forming one of the best natural ports in Europe. The Bay of Kotor attracts many tourists with its magnificent natural scenery and rich history and culture, and has become an important tourist area in Montenegro.

The bay area is surrounded by rugged cliffs and quaint and unique towns on all sides, among which the more famous is the historic city of Kotor. The city of Kotor is famous for its well-preserved medieval buildings and narrow stone streets. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can stroll here and feel the weight of history.

The Bay of Kotor goes 32 kilometers inland, with high mountains on both sides, a narrow strait, and a width of about 3 kilometers at the exit. The climate here is Mediterranean subtropical, with hot summers and rainy autumn, winter and spring.
