What travelers say:

Changshu Meili Town is located about 12 kilometers northeast of Changshu City. According to legend, the five dynasties of Wu Yue’s state dispatched generals Mei Shizhong and Li Kaishan led soldiers to guard here, so they were named after the second general. It became a town during the Yuanfeng period of the Northern Song Dynasty. Since the Southern Song Dynasty, it has always been one of the distribution centers of commerce and trade in Changshu, with the saying that "Eighteen towns in Dongxiang, the first town in Meili". To Meili, Jusha Garden in the east of the town is a must visit. Among the towns in Changshu, Jusha Garden is the only garden built with historical relics. The Jusha Garden covers an area of 53,000 square meters and is named after the main body of the park is the Jusha Baifu Pagoda that was built in the Southern Song Dynasty. "Jusha Tower Shadow" is also one of the "Eighteen Scenes of Xinyu Mountain" in Changshu, with a long history. The Jusha Tower in the park was built during the Song Zhaoxing period. At that time, Meili Town was still on the coast of the river and sea, and was often hit by floods, endangering people's lives and property. The local gentry then initiated fund-raising to build a tower in the name of "charity" to "accumulate wealth". The masses of people responded positively, accumulating less and making more, gathering sand into a tower, hence the name "Pagoda of Hundred Riches in Sand". Strolling in the garden, the flowers are like brocades, the breeze is coming, the lotus is in full bloom, the pool is full of oily leaves, the delicate petals, and the looming fragrance, bathed in the sun, contrasts with the beautiful scenery of the courtyard, making it more pleasing to the eye. Relaxed and happy. Tickets can be booked from the online platform, but you can enter the park two hours in advance. If you buy it directly, it only costs ten yuan, which is really great value!
