The Old Chengdu Folk Park

The Old Chengdu Folk Custom Park is located under the overpass of Renmin South Road, covering an area of 45 acres and a green area of 20,000 square meters. The entire Folk Custom Park is composed of three parts: bronze sculpture group, mural wall and miniature landscape. The design is clean and neat, and the layout is unique. The bronze sculpture group reflects some old occupations and children's games in old Chengdu that have long since disappeared, such as the wheelbarrow pusher, the sugar pinch man, the ear plucker, the sawmill, the locksmith…… the characters are different and lifelike. A nostalgic atmosphere of life blows. The mural walls are interspersed among the bronze sculpture groups, which are printed on each other and complement each other. The murals mostly reflect the life scenes and traditional dwellings of old Chengdu. In addition, there are some texts introducing Chengdu's mountains, water, food, customs and other contents. People lingered in these bronze sculptures, murals, and texts, and sighed. The older generation of Chengdu people created this city with rich connotations with their hard-working hands, and also left a splendid folk cultural treasure for our descendants. For the miniature landscape, the designer chose several representative locations or buildings in old Chengdu to put together, so that this traditional beauty complements each other and gives visitors an immersive feeling. Most of the places chosen for the landscape have disappeared, and only a place name is left as a memorial, and some even have their names changed.
