Mae Sai is located in Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand. It is the northernmost town in Thailand. It is separated from the Tachileik in Myanmar by the Mae Sai River and connected by a bridge. Mae Sai Town has only one main street from south to north. This street is actually the last section of the highway from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and then to Mae Sai, ending at the stone bridge on the Thai-Myanmar border. Many people come and go through this bridge every day, there are hawkers doing business, and there are foreign tourists. On the left side of the bridge is the Thai Customs and Exit-Entry Administration Office, and on the right there is a sign "Thailand's northernmost point".
