On the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai (approximately one and a half hours), there is a hot spring which is free for everyone to use by the King of Thailand. Visitors to Chiang Rai will stop here to soak their feet and take a rest. There are natural hot springs here, spraying into the sky, which can be more than 20 meters high, and you can smell the smell of sulfur in the air from a distance. You can buy some eggs and boil them in the hot spring. They taste good. Relatively speaking, quail eggs are better than eggs. Place it in the high-temperature pool for about 10 minutes and then you can eat it. The boiled egg is just next to the hot spring soaking feet, and eating the eggs (with Thai soy sauce) while soaking.
There are a few hot spring pools with high temperature, and the smoky ones above will emit a small water column from time to time like a geyser. You can smell the strong sulphur smell of the hot springs from far away. It is definitely true hot springs. There are some local people selling eggs nearby, which reminds me of some people selling freshly boiled hot spring eggs next to the hot spring in Changbai Mountain a few years ago. Mom bought a few eggs. The seller put the eggs in a small bamboo basket and put them in the hot spring. After two or three minutes, the eggs were taken out and they were cooked. They were heart-wrenching in them and they tasted delicious. There is also a hot spring pool walking inside. The temperature of the hot spring pool is relatively low and it is for tourists to soak their feet. My mother and I also went for a dip, which was quite comfortable.
On the way from Chiang Mai to the White Temple and the Blue Temple, you will pass by here. It is a tourist service area. It is relatively large. There are toilets, tourist shops, parking lots, and specialty foods. There is a hot spring where you can heat boiled eggs. In addition, there are hot springs to soak your feet. There is still a long way to several popular attractions in Chiang Rai.
Pho Soet Hot Spring is a place you can enjoy good coffee stop enroute between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Ladies boil eggs in the hot springs. You can take off your shoes and soak your feet while enjoy it.
There are many hot springs in the mountains of Chiang Rai Province. Among them, the Phra Soet Hot Springs are only twenty kilometers away from the city
The hot spring plaza is actually on the highway between Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. We didn't plan to go there. It was self-defeating. We just happened to pass by and saw that we turned around and returned to the experience. Real hot springs are indeed different. The strong smell of sulfur comes out from the car. The spring water becomes cold from upstream to downstream. The spring water at the outlet is too hot, at least 70 degrees Celsius. It is impossible to soak at all. Feel it more downstream. After soaking, you can immediately feel the skin becomes extremely tender, which is completely unmatched by boiler water. I suggest you go and experience it. The hot springs are free and there are not many tourists. There are only a few people. The experience is definitely worth your aftertaste.
