What travelers say:

Wat Phra Singh in Chiang Rai is an ancient and very small temple. There is only one Buddhist shop and one golden pagoda. Although it is small, the incense is very strong. It is right in the downtown area and many believers come every day. Worship, if you pass by, you might as well take a tour.

Additional Information

The Wat Phra Sing is located in the northern part of the block, in close proximity to the Koko River. Constructed in the 14th century, this monastery has a long history. It is said that the temple was built to imitate the new temple of Pula in Chiang Mai. Buddha statues are enshrined in the temple of Wat Phra Sing, and there are murals in the halls of the temple. These murals are based on local ancient costumes and traditions, and they are considered to be masterpieces of traditional art in northern Thailand.
