Great view overlooking Cooktown and surrounding area. There are multiple picnic tables at the top where you can sit and enjoy the sunset. Unsure where the name comes from because there is little grass! It is well worth driving up the hill and taking a closer look at what Cook sees. Reefs are clearly visible in the distance. For the old captain, it would be a considerable climb!

A view of course. Unfortunately, there is no park at the actual top so it is only a short walk. Of course, the wind is great.. Stopping up is a great choice for sunset. My husband and I walked from the pier to the town all the way to the grass hill y viewing platform. It was a nice walk with information signs posted on it about discovering history and Aboriginal history. The views were a few kilometres around. We also drove last night to watch the sunset behind the mountains/mountains and Endeavour.
