I did not know what to expect when we went to this museum. I was amazed by the experience. To learn more about the 1916 uprising and the personal stories of those involved was heart wrenching. It is not all sad - there are some wonderful exhibits and the cafe is not too bad either!
Dublin, the Irish capital, was known as Athens in ancient Greece. The history of Dublin's streets and alleys is a medieval and modern architectural heritage, while museums, Guinness beer, Irish breakfast, Trinity College, Port Hoth, and picturesque Wicklow County make a delicious, leisurely "pre-dinner dish."
The National Museum of Art and History of Ireland is the largest comprehensive museum in Ireland. The museum has a rich collection. The exhibition is a good way to learn about Irish history and culture. There are also many collections from the Far East, such as China, in the Asian region.
