Pedestrian Street Huagai Road. Foshan people have incredible feeling of beauty. How many European styled streets I have seen in China is hard to count, but I remember this one only! Nice walking under adorned colored balconies and sunshine soaked and then radiated by walls made the visit more likely childhood impression, when parents took you somewhere in the city during short summer holidays. Numerous cafe and restaurants are offering delicious dishes for reasonable price.

Arrived in Shunde on February 12, 2024, visited Qinghui Garden, strolled through Huagai Road Pedestrian Street and Jinbang Street, and hastily toured the long-awaited Shunde. Without going into details, I just ate too much. Shunde, one of the five administrative districts of Foshan, is adjacent to the cities of Guangzhou, Zhongshan, and Jiangmen, and is close to Hong Kong and Macau to the south. It has been economically prosperous, commercially vibrant, and educationally prominent since ancient times. Shunde is one of the birthplaces of Cantonese opera and Cantonese music and is known as the 'Hometown of Chinese Quyi'. Shunde's food culture has a long history and is world-renowned. It was awarded the title of 'Gourmet Capital of the World' by UNESCO and is also known as the 'Hometown of Chinese Chefs'. Shunde has been culturally prosperous since ancient times, producing 3 literary champions, 1 martial champion, 762 scholars in both civil and military studies, and 2397 candidates in the imperial examinations from the Northern Song Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It has nurtured outstanding figures such as Li Jian, the Qing Dynasty's master of poetry, calligraphy, and painting, the eccentric painter Su Renshan, as well as Bruce Lee, Lee Shau Kee, Cheng Yu-tung, Lo Tak Shing, Ng Yee Sun, Leung Cheuk Chu, and Margaret Chan. Without further ado, I tried the following: longan fried meat, tangerine peel double-skin milk, chicken droppings vine black sesame paste, dace fish cakes, drank buffalo milk, sugarcane and imperata root water, sugarcane juice, and there was too much food to eat. However, it wasn't as delicious as it looked on TV. I don't want to eat the fishy items from Shunde again; they were too fishy, especially the fish cakes...

Eat wherever you walk, and although this street still retains the architectural style of Lingnan, the whole street is full of various Shunde delicacies. College students who are special forces soldiers come to stroll and eat in Shunde on the weekend! Due to time constraints, we didn't make it to the Fisherman's Wharf, so we went to Huagai Road in search of food and were deeply attracted by this old street. The street was especially crowded on Sunday, lined with Shunde delicacies, and we ate the most famous double-skin milk and cold fish skin salad! I think the double-skin milk from Minxin Old Shop is super delicious!! We also had congee base hotpot! Highly recommended!!! In the middle of the street, there is a Huagai sluice path that you can walk up to overlook Shunde, the scenery is too beautiful! In the evening, we even saw the sunset. Crossing the sluice path, you can reach Jinbang Street, which is an alley-like street. Inside, there are various delicacies and cultural and creative products, and every casual snapshot has a kind of timeless beauty. If you have some free time, go for a stroll, a half-day City walk in Shunde can really relax your body and mind!

🌈Shunde Huagai Road, 🈶 a pedestrian street with delicious food that is good for both eating and strolling! In addition to tasting Shunde's special cuisine, I also like to look at the old buildings on both sides of the street. This place features the arcade architecture of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties🏠, with the main colors being pink-yellow, pink-green, and pink-blue. The pedestrian street is 635 meters long, walking through the old street, the mottled candy colors of the arcades make for very outstanding photography📸, giving the feeling of wandering in a colorful fairy tale town! 🌈There are not many tourists on the old street, it's quite peaceful to stroll around here, and the whole street is filled with various Shunde delicacies. Not only 🈶 Fengcheng Fish Skin Po's fish skin, but also fish noodles, fish symbols, sugar oil pastries, Chencun noodles, dessert shops, Huan Jie Lun Jiao cakes, Zhuangyuan Shunde fresh fish cakes, Da Run longan fried pork, Renxin double skin milk, Minxin old shop, and so on. After strolling around today, I passed by a dessert shop. The pictures posted outside were quite attractive, and the ambiance inside the shop was serene, so I decided to give it a try. The desserts were creative and had a full range of flavors, colors, and aromas. - The matcha milk jelly had a suitable sweetness and a rich green tea flavor. - The shiratama dango drizzled with a creamy and slightly salty cheese, paired with sesame rice balls, was just right in taste. - Lastly, the matcha buffalo milk hotpot with six different ingredients, including rose petals, peach gum, tapioca pearls, taro jelly, and grass jelly mixed together, was very creative and refreshing. The only thing that could be improved is that although it comes with a candle for heating, it would be better if the staff could heat it up a bit when serving, so that customers can taste the warm matcha buffalo milk hotpot sooner. Overall, in terms of cost-performance ratio and the combination of flavors, colors, and aromas, it's fantastic 👍😋 and worth recommending

Food in Guangzhou, the kitchen comes from Fengcheng! It's close to Fisherman's Wharf, if you want to go to Fisherman's Wharf for photography or play, you can stay here first, because Fisherman's Wharf is far from the bustling area. 2️⃣Wenhua Old Friend Pig Offal Porridge It's been a long time since the store was on fire, this is the second time I eat it, it's still the taste in memory, a bit expensive, if you want to eat, you can try it~ Day 2: 1️⃣Red Star Guangfa Claypot Rice Head Store It's especially delicious~ Especially this fish stuffed chili, I still remember it now, but it seems that there are very few that are fried so well. 2️⃣Sugar Maple Dessert (Red Star Community) It's less than two hundred meters straight from the claypot rice, a pretty hot community sugar water shop. When I went there, I took a number, thought the mini program would automatically call the number, ran to the side of the road to wait, was bitten by a bunch of packages, waited for a long time to ask, it was already my turn! After taking the photos, go to Huagai Road Pedestrian Street to find something to eat! 5️⃣Huagai Road Pedestrian Street Snacks I ate Grandma's Beef Offal (it's okay, the quality of the chain store will not be too bad) and bought some pickled fruits on the side of the road (not too OK, don't buy too much easily!) I ran to buy a few skewers of tenderloin and ribs (sweet, I like it, but it's a bit expensive...) The snack shop bought a portion of fish skin (it's okay, neither good nor bad). 6️⃣Tunan Ice Room Walk back from the pedestrian street, get a number at the store, (very close to Xinshe Homestay!!) I sincerely recommend everyone to add an ice cream, and then two people share one, it's enough~ 7️⃣Wenqiao Food Shop Two people with pig-like stomach capacity, ate all night and still missed the honey barbecue that I have been thinking about (it's okay~) Day 3: 1️⃣Sauna Chicken Foshan specialty, the health-preserving taste is also good. A chicken is really a bit too much, it is recommended to go with three or more people, otherwise it really can't be finished and it's a bit wasteful. 2️⃣Shunde Museum After two full days of itinerary, finally visit a museum~

Jinbang Shang Street is a very famous food street, which is an alley inside very old residential buildings, with many characteristic snacks and many landmarks in Shunde to check in. 📍Fisherman's Wharf: Fisherman's Wharf is really too photogenic, especially at dusk, with pink balloons and orange sunsets being very romantic. Aunt He's Kudzu Water is pure and natural without additives, and the shop is also filled with the pure fragrance of kudzu water. There are also other sweet soups and snacks, and the double-skin milk is also very delicious. 4⃣Yusheng: You can always trust the Yusheng of Shunde, the fish meat is crystal clear, very sweet and tender, and can also be paired with other side dishes.
