CenttCenttSeriously, ditch the daytime ticket and aim for sunset. This is where Fukuoka Tower shines (literally!).Because the tower is right by the ocean, you get a beautiful, unobstructed view as the sun dips below the horizon. The sky goes through all those crazy colors pinks, oranges, and deep purples and it looks fantastic reflecting off Hakata Bay.

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member group that debuted on May 26, 2015. They continue to expand their limitless possibilities not only through group albums but also through various sub-units and individual activities. Starting as a self-producing group, they have consistently taken on challenges with each album, eventually establishing their position as the "top K-POP group." Their 10th Mini Album "FML" achieved the highest sales record for a single K-POP album, and their 11th Mini Album "SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN" recorded the highest first-week sales in K-POP history. Their 5th Album "HAPPY BURSTDAY," released in May, debuted at number 2 on the main Billboard album chart in the United States, marking their seventh consecutive top 10 entry and demonstrating the group's strong album power. SEVENTEEN is also making new history in the live performance market. They became the first K-POP artists to perform on the main stage of the UK's Glastonbury Festival and participated as headliners at Germany's Lollapalooza Berlin and Mexico's Tecate Pa'l Norte. They have held solo concerts in major stadiums around the world and achieved the highest ranking for a K-POP artist on Billboard's "2024 Top Tours." SEVENTEEN's efforts to spread the values of positivity and solidarity through music have led to their role as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for youth. They have donated $1 million to UNESCO and established a youth support fund, actively engaging in social contributions.

msmsmsmsThe main hall is under renovation, and the shrine is "naked" on a temporary stand. It's a close encounter. Sugawara Michizane is a neon Confucius. The head of Tenmangu Shrine seeks knowledge. The ox and the qilin are rubbed shiny by devotees, hoping for some blessings.

msmsmsmsOf the castle ruins, nothing remains except the stone foundation. The feudal lord was pragmatic, building only three castle towers: large, medium, and small. Tamon Turret is overgrown with weeds; the other turrets have only their foundation stones left, while others are merely imaginary.

tumimitumimiOn March 24, 2025, I came to Maizuru Park, the most famous cherry blossom viewing park in Fukuoka. I came out of the subway "Ohori Park" and followed the signs to find Maizuru Park. What I saw was a path of unopened cherry blossom trees, without even buds. It is estimated that the cherry blossom season this year will be delayed, and the blooming cherry blossoms will not be seen until early April. "Looking for flowers in the crowd for thousands of times, I turned around and found that the flowers were at the Fukuoka Castle Wall." When I walked to the ruins of Fukuoka Castle, I finally found a drooping cherry blossom that had bloomed.
