Lazy Version of Lanzhou One-Day Tour, Be a Child of the Yellow River for a Day
If I only stay in Lanzhou for one day,
I would definitely waste a whole day by the Yellow River
Eating Lanzhou noodles, drinking Sanpaotai, basking in the sun
Just being a carefree child of the Yellow River for a day~
🍜🍜
A day in Lanzhou starts with a steaming hot breakfast
The freshly pulled Lanzhou noodles, any random shop is delicious
Add eggs🥚, vegetables🥬➕, and soy-simmered beef🥩,
Eating slices of the beef while it's hot, it's really comfy~
🌊🌊
Not wanting a packed tour, I only went to three places
✅Gansu Provincial Museum
A must-visit museum in China, it's recommended to book in advance, closed on Mondays
The museum is really great to wander around, with treasures like the Flying Horse of Gansu, and an endless array of exquisite exhibits
✅Forest of Steles
After finishing the museum, I took a taxi to the Forest of Steles
From there you can overlook the winding Yellow River, and also appreciate some Northwest calligraphy and paintings
Admission: Free🆓, just register upon entering
(The Yellow River cable car is not open yet, can only walk down the mountain, about 30min, passing through Baita Mountain Park)
✅Zhongshan Bridge, Yellow River
Zhongshan Bridge, a landmark of Lanzhou, the first permanent bridge in the Yellow River basin of Lanzhou
Below the bridge is the Yellow River, the river in March is green and blue, really awesome to see
You can also take a speedboat🚤, cruise ship🚢, or sheepskin raft on the Yellow River
There are flocks of pigeons flying around, really has a relaxed and leisurely feeling~
Walking along the riverbank to the Mother of the Yellow River sculpture, ending a pleasant Lanzhou day tour~
Lanzhou Cuisine:
Most of Lanzhou's delicacies are concentrated in Xiguan, for night markets there are Dazhong Alley, Zhengning Road night market
You can try local milk tea🥤, grilled lamb skewers, Lao Ma's fresh milk egg fermented rice, spicy hot pot...
(Didn't look at recommendations, the random choices were all pretty good)
The regret of the last time finally made up for it. The Gansu Provincial Museum was really shocking. I finally saw the horse stepping on the swallow in the primary school textbook. There are also various dinosaur fossils, which are really huge, and there are various exquisite cultural relics, such as copper cattle, copper camels, Trojan horses, etc., which are very recommended!
The explanation is very good! The child likes it very much! But as far as the museum is concerned, I still prefer the exhibition according to the timeline. This unit narrative feels a bit messy for me. There is too much knowledge to accept and it is not easy to organize.
A very happy visit experience. The first time I made an appointment for the teacher to explain, I met Mr. Wang Qian, a very professional interpreter. He told us the long history behind each collection in the museum with an easy-to-understand description, and also told us some details of the collection. Learning a lot of knowledge, it is worthwhile to travel 👍
I was very lucky to meet Ms. Wang as our commentator. I was impressed by her expertise and the way she explained it. She explained in great detail, not only knows the history and cultural background of each exhibit, but also conveys complex knowledge to us in a simple and understandable way. Her explanations are vivid and interesting, full of enthusiasm, and give us a deeper understanding of the history of Gansu Province. I highly recommend Ms. Wang to other tourists, and hope they enjoy such a wonderful experience as I do.
On the last day of 2023, I punched in the Gansu Provincial Museum. Gansu Province is also a large province with rich history and culture. It is necessary to ask for an in-depth explanation. Teacher Liu Yu is very good, the explanation is very professional, vivid and interesting, and also interacts with us. If you want to know more about Gansu, find Mr. Liu Yu. Absolutely great value experience.
Mr. Yang Tong explained very well, humorous and kind, and rich in expertise. I learned a lot of knowledge, and this museum is really worth it. I didn't understand anything before, I hope I can push some such good interpreters in the future.
Teacher Lu told very detailed, very patient, the children listened very fascinated, the teacher said deeply, very vivid, the voice is also very gentle. I am especially honored to find this teacher. This time there were fewer teachers and took our two families and four people. So happy! Thank you, Mr. Lu
