Xunfeng Tower

Xunfeng Pagoda is located in Nan'an Town, Gaoyao City, the peak of Wuronggang on the east bank of Xinxingjiang Estuary, so it is commonly known as Wurong Pagoda. Because the pagoda is located in the southeast of the old government office, the Book of Changes refers to the southeast as Xun, for wood, and for wind, which is extended to mean smoothness and endless life, so the planners called this pagoda Xunfeng Pagoda. It was built in the fourth year of Mingqiqi (1624), and was initiated by Wang Mingxuan, the inspector, and was succeeded by Cai Shanzhi of Luoding Road. It was completed in the seventh year of Tianqi. There have been repairs through the ages. At the beginning of 1984, Zhaoqing, Gaoyao Culture and Cultural Relics Department conducted a general survey of the tower, and found out that it covers an area of 102 square meters and has a residual height of 392 meters. , flat seat, railings and attic have been completely destroyed, the whole tower is in jeopardy, urgently waiting for repair. At the end of the same year, it was announced as a cultural relics protection unit in Zhaoqing City.
