Went to the old town of Gjirokastra. It was smaller than i had imagined, but very beautiful. We were there late in the season, but there was still alot of tourists. I can imagine it would be a lot mor...
a small, cute part of town with lots of cafes and cobbled streets. a city with more tourism than the other destinations we visited in Albania, but without overlooking the other cities!
The architecture was interesting – but we found Berat more genuine … The bazaar itself is one strip of tourist shops, cute cafés, bars and cheap trinkets. It could have been anywhere: no local flavour...

Go and see, you will not regret!

Lots of Shops
Fun area to walk around and look for souvenirs. Easy walking distance to most of the hotels for tourists.
