It is a Western-style building facing Kosaka in Motomachi, Hakodate. It is currently closed and you can only see the appearance. As of April 2022, the entrance is covered with inorganic iron plates, which is different from the Western-style gate displayed on Google Maps. When you go up Kozaka, you will find it on your right. It is said to be the first Russian consulate in Japan, and it is a brick Japanese-Western eclectic building. You can only see the exterior, but it doesn't seem to be very handicapped, so I was a little worried about it as a historic building.
It was a little far from the tourist area of Motomachi, and I felt like I went all the way, but it was an ordinary ragged building. You can't put it inside, just look from the outside. Moreover, it is difficult to see because the grass is overgrown. It's so rough that I think the floor will come out when I step in.
