and the shrine before you go up.
Original Text
Access is good as it passes in front of Suehirocho Station on the tram. It seems that it was attached because it had a panoramic view of Hakodate Port and was a good place to read the sky. At the end of the slope is Funatama Shrine, which has a long history, and it is close to the tourist spots around Motomachi Park, so it is easy to have the opportunity to take a walk.
The slope was cobblestone-style pavement, but the upper one was just asphalt pavement. It seems that there are few tourists who bother to go up and down this slope, but when I looked down on the sea side from above, I was able to re-recognize the city of the slope.
Hiwazaka is located between Hachimanzaka and Kizaka, which is actually two steps, not straight. The upper part was once called Tobizaka, and at the top is Funatama Shrine, which is the school route for students at Hakodate Nishi High School. There is a Suehirocho tram stop just below.
It was a sober slope that seemed to be hidden in the shadow. The name is Hiwazaka, which is very fashionable and has a Hakodate feel. There are many famous slopes around here, but it seems that people rarely visit here. I wonder if I can go if I have time. There is no place to see that.
It's not noticeable because there is a famous slope nearby, but it's the closest to the Suehirocho stop of Hakodate City Tram and it looks like it continues to the top of the mountain.
