Friends, my fellow hikers, I'm excited to report that I finally hiked through the bamboo forest of Yunqi Bamboo Path in Hangzhou!
After my usual "training" hikes in Beijing's Western Hills, I finally managed to squeeze in a short hike during my third trip to Hangzhou.
Growing up in the north, I'm utterly powerless against the misty rain of Jiangnan—it's so beautiful, so quintessentially Jiangnan!
On such a misty, rainy day, we arrived at Yunqi Bamboo Path, and it truly felt like stumbling into the private courtyard of some immortal.
At Yunqi Bamboo Path, you buy an 8-yuan ticket, and this ticket acts like a protective barrier, instantly shutting out the hustle and bustle of the world.
The towering bamboo is serene and mysterious; walking on the bluestone paths, you feel transported back to ancient times.
The ancient trees here are often hundreds of years old; touching their weathered bark feels like conversing with history.
Quick tips:
1. The route is shown in the last picture.
2. We arrived late and only had time for a quick tour. If you have more time, you can visit the God of Wealth Temple to offer your prayers.
