Show More ReviewsLingyin Temple I don't like the overly solemn Buddha statues in most temples, but I'm relatively more accepting of the "approachable" style of Ji Gong (a legendary Buddhist monk). Lingyin Temple isn't actually very large, but it's extremely popular with worshippers. Tourists were chattering and snapping photos all around. I wonder if the monks in picture 3 can truly remain calm and focused, with only scriptures in their eyes and no regard for sentient beings? I wonder if they're sitting here on duty, as punishment, or "practicing" their skills [laughing emoji]. Moreover, the cable car to Beigaofeng closes at 16:45, remember to go early!
