Fubao Ancient Town is located on the edge of the Dagu River in the southern border of Sichuan. As early as the Tang and Song Dynasties, it was a place that must be visited on the path of transporting salt in and out of Sichuan. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, a trade town had been formed and it was named the New Town. During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, it was named Fubao and became the political, economic and cultural center of the Dagu River Basin. Xingzhen has a history of more than 600 years. The ancient town of Fubao was built next to the mountains and follows the flow of the water. Three rivers meet and five bridges are connected. The mountain heights go up and down and the paths have many twists and turns.
