Show More ReviewsThe Hung Shing Temple in Wan Chai was built between 1847 and 1852. It was originally a small altar on a stone facing the sea. However, after several reclamations, the temple is now located in the heart of Wan Chai. Hung Shing is the god in charge of the ocean and weather, and is closely related to fishermen, farmers, and sea traders. In 2015, the Hung Shing Temple was closed for renovation for the first time in a century, and the renovated temple continues to preserve its characteristics and style.
