Laura, the Pony manager for the Park Service is just the best! She is "Essential" in all senses. Even so, fingers crossed that the Gov will not shut down soon. Also, all my best to all the Gals.
Ponys are pretty
Park in the lot. Walk up steps for a stand that you can see the few pony's that are fenced in. They are pretty and seem well kept. But you can not get close to them. It is sad that they can not roam f...
Stop and look
There is free parking and you just walk up a few steps to see the ponies. It’s a easy stop for the kids to see the animals, and to stretch your legs.
Great to See Wild Mustangs
Happy to have been able to get to the Pony Pen/Pasture. My daughter has been an equestrian since age of 4, competed and taught English riding for close to 30 years. Horses are her life. I don't ride...
Pony Stable
Some of the ponies were out!! I really enjoyed it being an animal lover my boys on the other hand thought it was boring ! We stayed about 10 mins before we left to go catch the ferry!
