About 20 minutes walk from Ikeda Station in Hankyu, the residence of Ichizo Kobayashi, the founder of the Hankyu Group, is a memorial hall. The exhibition about Mr. Kobayashi's achievements other than railways is also interesting, but above all, the splendor of Western-style architecture makes me sigh.

It was the house of Ichizo Kobayashi, the founder of Toho and Hankyu. Although it is made of reinforced concrete, many wood is used inside. In the private corner, photos of tea parties with Kansai entrepreneurs (also known as Konosuke Matsushita) and family group photos were also exhibited. There is a tea room in the garden like Ichizo Kobayashi, a tea man.
