the best museum to know both Rakugo and Ikeda
Rakugo, which was born almost 400 years ago, is a traditional Japanese comic story telling. Basically, Rakugo-ka(comic storyteller) sits on stage alone and tells a funny story with props of a fan and...
Rakugo museum in Ikeda. Admission is free, and materials related to rakugo are exhibited and events are guided. Speaking of which, I remembered that there was "Ikeda's wild boar purchase" in Kamigata Rakugo.
Master Bunji Katsura is the honorary director, there are books, materials, and videos of Kamigata Rakugo, and there is also a Koza, so a rakugo party is also held, and I was able to enter the museum for free.
2 There are books about RAKUGO and RAKUGO DVD on the floor, and you can browse them for free, so it's a nice facility for those who are interested in RAKUGO. When I visited, I was just doing a special exhibition of Bunji Katsura. In addition, there are not many exhibits such as guidance videos of rakugo and miniatures that reproduce farmers in rakugo set in Ikeda. I visited after a break while walking around the city.

Recommended for those who want to see RAKUGO
It is a place where rakugo events are held almost every day. Student rakugo events are also held, and it is a very active place.
