Hallasan Seongpanak

At 6:24 in the morning, I took bus 281 at Jeju Island Intercity Station and got off at Seongpanak. It took about 50 minutes and it cost 1,200 won. Then it took about 4 hours to get to the top of the mountain. It was June and the top of the mountain was very hot. Taking a photo at the top as proof of the summit, you can get a certificate for 1,000 won. I brought a liter of bottled water and four buns, and the whole climbing process was fine for me. Just wear running shoes. Then I went down the Gwaneumsa trail, the rock shapes on the way down. I finished the hike at about 4 pm. If you want to go back to Jeju Island Intercity Station, take bus 475 at Gwaneumsa Station to Sancheondan Altar Station, the cost is 1200 won, and then transfer to bus 281 to Jeju Island Intercity Station. I always wanted to climb Hannah Mountain, so when I had the opportunity to visit Jeju, I included it in my itinerary. Since I was not a professional hiker, I chose to start climbing on the Chengbanyue Trail. It didn’t disappoint me. For most of the journey, it is just a moderately steep climb. And it will be more difficult to start from the rest stop. The view is not as good as Guanyin Temple, but if you want to climb more easily, I recommend taking this path.

Chengbanyue can walk on volcanic rocks, which is a rare sight for mountain climbing. From Jeju to here by 781 bus, the fare is 1,800 won, and the driver can change his change. The journey is about 40 minutes, about 9 kilometers long, and lasts about 4 to 5 hours without rest.

There is a volcano in Jeju Island. The best season of Chengbanyue is autumn and winter. In autumn, maple leaves are all over the mountains. In winter, they are covered with silver. There are special walkways. There are also some natural ponds on the mountain. With good luck, you can see the cloud sea.

Since I came to Jizhou, Hannah Mountain is much better than duty-free shops. From Jizhou Long-distance Bus Station to Chengbanyue, I took 781, one-way 1800, and started climbing mountains with a meal of water, the best hot water, cooking and chocolate, ice claws, trash bags, toilets and shelters on the way back.

This is one of the hundreds of parasitic volcanoes in the center of Mount Hannah on Jeju Island. Although the road is slightly wider, i.e. 1.5-2 meters wide, and the terrain is slightly flatter than that of Guanyin Temple, the vast majority of the ground is original ecological rocks.
