Jingzhou Museum is a local comprehensive museum with multiple collections dominated by cultural relics from the Paleolithic and Neolithic era, the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and the Qin and Han Dynasties. Among them, the jade articles, the pottery animals from the Shijiahe culture, the lacquer wood articles and silk fabrics from the Chu and Han Dynasties are the most distinctive. Exhibitions in the Domestic and Overseas Pavilion include the Unearthed Cultural Relics Exhibition, No. 168 Han Tomb on Fenghuang Mountain, Ancient Lacquered Wood Articles Exhibition and Ancient Silk Fabric Exhibition. These works bring together the essence of the collection of cultural relics and show the historical changes in the region and the colorful cultural customs from the ancient times to the Western Han Dynasty.
