Located on the Andaman Sea, Big Phi Phi Island is one of the two main islands of the Phi Phi Islands. Big Phi Phi Island in the north is 3.5 kilometers wide and 8 kilometers long. It is shaped like an irregular dumbbell with green hills on the ends. The center of the island is made up of two half-moon bays. The sea near the shore is of a charming emerald color. The central part of the island is extremely narrow. The narrowest area is only about 80 meters. There are fishermen living on the island. The resorts, restaurants, bars and various entertainment venues offer everything that a anyone needs and are some of the reasons that many tourists love Phi Phi Island.

Koh Phi Phi, an island off Thailand's Andaman Coast, is most famous for being the setting of the Leonardo DiCaprio movie The Beach. Most people come to the Phi Phi islands expecting a pristine island paradise.
Unfortunately, they're often met with a rude awakening upon arrival.
Koh Phi Phi is not paradise.
Don't get me wrong - the island is beautiful. Exquisitely beautiful. But it's been so overdeveloped and pushed to the brink that it's extremely difficult to enjoy as a destination.
Overtourism has impacted many destinations. Sadly, overdevelopment has ruined the Phi Phi Islands.

A stopover in Ton Sai West, Phi Phi Don. We just had our lunch here but the view is breathtaking. The stunning Tonsai Bay has turquoise water and is a hive of boating activity. If only we had a longer time we would have visited Long Beach which is indeed a stunning white sand which is comparable to Calaguas' Long Beach. 🏝😉😊🇹🇭formations. 😊🐟🐠🏝🏖🇹🇭🐠🐟😉
Before we had a lunch at Ton Sai Bay at Phi Phi Don we had a plunged at Monkey Beach where in the water is 15 - 20 meters deep. In there I able to feel I'm floating in a huge aquarium. Below me are corals, colorful fishes, and an awesome view of life in the sea. Unfortunately I able to experience it for just a single minute for I need to admit I'm not a really good swimmer or should I say I can't swim at all!
Yet, in that fraction of a minute I'm overwhelmed with those sea creatures swimming below me. How I wish I can dive deep and detached myself in the railing of the speed boat (where I'm holding in 😅😞😬) so that I'll be able to enjoy freely swimming with these awesome inhabitants in the sea
Phi Phi is a group of six islands. The two main islands are Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The larger and inhabited Phi Phi Don attracts hundreds of visitors to stay on it's lovely shores while the smaller uninhabited Phi Phi Leh hosts stunning beautiful bays and beaches. During our tour we took our lunch in Phi Phi Don. The buffet lunch is excellent which consists lots of seafood, vegetables and fruits. The place have conform rooms too where you can take showers. Reclining chairs is everywhere for you to relax where you can have a good view of the ocean while feet relaxing on the fine sands.
