Xingyuan Temple of Tongliao

The three temples of the fascinating Kuren: Xingyuan Temple is the largest complete, Fuyuan Temple, Xiangjiao Temple. The Kulun Banner is the only real administrative and religious Lama flag in Inner Mongolia in the Qing Dynasty. It is a religious "holy place" advocated by the Mongolian people. It is famous as the three major temples in Lhasa, and they are all classic buildings of Tibetan Buddhism Gelu. It is known as the small Wutai Mountain, washing the soul and solemnity.

通辽兴源寺每年举行盛大的法会4次，届时全旗大小喇嘛全部参加。正月和六月的十四、十五两天为跳鬼会，每隔三年即逢牛、蛇、鸡年举行一次"喇嘛"法会。这是规模尤为盛大的法会。筹备工作提前两个月开始，主要是制成"喇嘛丸"。法会从七月初五至初七，用3天时间整修座位，从初八正式开始至十四日，共7昼夜。

兴源寺位于库伦旗中街以北，是锡勒图库伦主庙。始建于1649年，竣工于1650年，顺治皇帝赐额"兴源寺"。后于1710年在其左右增建厢殿一座。1719年，进行一次大规模的扩建。在原正殿的前面，沿着中轴线修建面阔九间，进深九间，通称"九九八十一间"的正殿、天王殿和山门殿。两侧又对称地修建配殿和钟鼓楼。其后又重建正殿。在建筑结构上采取汉藏结合式，为二层建筑。
