St Mary Aldermary is the origin of the Anglican church in the London area. It was built in the Middle Ages and was rebuilt in 1510, but was badly damaged in the fire in London in 1666. The reconstruction and preservation, funded by Sir Christopher Wren, is different from most churches in London.
