With many years of history, these arches that framed what was the entry to the city are of the few works of their kind that remain in the Mexican Republic, let us appreciate them!!
It seems that there are three gates left in Merida. There is a similar gate at the end of the main street in the west. This is the gate in the east, but it is the dragon gate. It is said to be a gate to protect the town from indigenous people, but it is a question mark in the words of the invaders. There is a similar gate in front of Zocalo, but it doesn't look good.
