Piazza del Duomo

Piazza Duomo is located in the center of Milan, surrounded by many important buildings, among which Milan's landmark Milan Cathedral is located here. The square gradually developed with the construction of the cathedral and was named after the cathedral. In the center of the square stands the equestrian bronze statue of the first king of the Kingdom of Italy, Vittorio Emmanuel II. There are also a series of important buildings around the square, such as the Promenade of Emanuele II, the Royal Palace with neoclassical architectural style, and the Cathedral Museum, exuding a strong medieval style.
