based on 651 reviewsInokashira Park was opened as early as 1917 and is one of Tokyo's most popular places for cherry blossom viewing and dating. It is an ideal place to relax and unwind all year round. In April, when the cherry blossoms are flying, you can row a boat in the lake and enjoy the fun of cherry blossom viewing on the lake. Inokashira Park has lakes, forests, walking paths, tennis courts, zoos, botanical gardens, children's playgrounds, sculpture galleries, etc. There is also the famous Hayao Miyazaki "Mitaka Forest Art Museum". There are sports fields and jogging routes in the park. The part near the JR station is lower in terrain and goes around the lake. There are bridges connecting the two sides to facilitate tourists who come here for a walk and enjoy the scenery when choosing a route. The large lake in the middle is home to water birds and colorful carp. There is a small temple behind the lake, which enshrines the god of love and water - Benzaiten.
