Shengshui Temple is situated in the suburbs of Neijiang City, Sichuan Province. It was built during the Xiantong period of the Qing Dynasty. During the Song Dynasty, it was named Xingci Temple, and was one of the eight largest temples in Sichuan Province. It has a long history and prestige in Sichuan's Buddhist community, having produced many eminent monks. There are lots of relics with significant historical value, such as stone arch bridge from the Song and Ming Dynasties, stone buildings, and inscriptions by famous historical figures.
