Once a symbol of American wealth, it has now become a leisure and entertainment center
In the multitude of skyscrapers in New York, the Rockefeller Center is definitely a symbol of American wealth. In the 1980s, a Japanese company bought the entire Rockefeller Center at a high price, shocking the United States! It was only after the Japanese economic bubble burst that the Rockefeller Center returned to the hands of Americans.
In fact, the Rockefeller Center we speak of is not a single building, but a complex of 19 skyscrapers in Manhattan with a unique architectural style. It is one of the representative works of early 20th-century modernist architecture and occupies the most central location in Manhattan.
The well-known NBC television network, Christie's auction house, and numerous top financial companies are all tenants of the center. However, now the Rockefeller Center is more of a paradise for New Yorkers and tourists to enjoy leisure and entertainment. In addition to the most famous observation deck, the complex is filled with various theaters, shopping malls, exhibition halls, restaurants, and bars, making it a place where one could wander all day and still not have enough.
🎨 At the Rockefeller Center, art pieces that can be seen everywhere highlight the extraordinary taste. Inside the building, you can encounter sculptures and paintings by masters every few steps, and the exterior walls of the building are also inlaid with various top works from around the world, each with endless stories.
🏠 Of course, the greatest work of art is the building itself. These historic buildings still exude quality and taste even today, complemented by the scientifically planned streets. If you have the chance, you can check in at the rooftop gardens within the complex, a green space amidst the concrete jungle.
🌈 Every winter, the Rockefeller Plaza turns into an ice rink, becoming a focal point of attention across America. In the summer, with the rainbow flag 🏳️🌈 flying, it is filled with tourists enjoying the sunshine and music.
☕️ The center's complex has shopping stores of all grades, and no woman can resist such temptation. Of course, men can't escape the lure of delicious food either, with dozens of restaurants including popular choices in New York City. This time I tried Le Rock French cuisine and Jupiter Italian cuisine, both the dishes and the environment brought a full emotional value.
The Rockefeller Center in New York City is an iconic landmark known for its stunning architecture, vibrant atmosphere, and must-visit attractions. From the Top of the Rock Observation Deck offering breathtaking city views to the famous ice-skating rink and seasonal Christmas tree, it’s a memorable destination year-round.
There's lots of shopping, restaurants and just a beautiful walk. We got to see the ice-skating rink and how they're getting ready to start setting for the lighting of the Christmas tree. Simply beautiful. We dined in a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a nice evening in this amazing center. beautiful and recommended
Rockefeller Center: Iconic NYC Vibes 🏙️🌟🇺🇸A cultural hub in the heart of Manhattan, Rockefeller Center dazzles with its Art Deco architecture, ice-skating rink, and Top of the Rock views. From shopping to seasonal festivities, it's a quintessential New York City experience!
It is recommended to come in the evening, the daytime view and the night view can be seen, if you are lucky, you can also see the sunset. We entered the Rockefeller Center at 6 pm to the Rockefeller Observation Deck. At this time, the sky is still very bright and you can see the beautiful New York skyline during the day. Then wait slowly, it will be dark around 8 pm, the weather is not very good, did not see the sunset and sunset. But the night view of Manhattan after dark and bright lights is very beautiful. The Rock's top observation deck is not as high as the Empire State Building, but you can overlook the Empire State Building here, and you can see Central Park on the other side. The view is still very good, and the height is not so high, you can feel the spectacular night view of Manhattan more closely. We were optimistic about the night view downstairs and left at 9pm, which took a little more than three hours.
Rockefeller Center during Christmas is pure magic! I absolutely love the festive vibe—the giant Christmas tree, sparkling lights, and the bustling ice skating rink all come together to create an unforgettable holiday atmosphere. It's like stepping into a winter wonderland right in the heart of New York City. The energy is contagious, with everyone in high spirits, making it one of the best places to soak in the Christmas cheer. If you’re a fan of the holidays, Rockefeller Center is an absolute m
There are specific time slots for sunset, but we went up before this time. We ended up waiting around quite a long time for sunset but it was worth it for the incredible views and the Empire state building too!
10/10 recommending this place! Rockefeller centre is so grand and amazing. love the ice skating rink in the middle, so lively with pop songs and visitors! would love to revisit!
Interesting place. Many shops nearby such as Nintendo, Kate Spade and Times square is just a short walk away. Easily accessible too by train.
