Cherry blossom viewing at Sanada Castle
Original Text
Blessed with the weather, the scenery where you can enjoy the remaining snow of Tanigawa and Takeru and cherry blossom viewing at the same time is superb. Moreover, the castle related to Mr. Sanada who fought fierce battles during the Sengoku period. However, a park for citizens in a local city where you can't feel the traces of the castle. There is no excitement of the cherry blossom viewing event. A place that seems to have been forgotten even though it has enough qualities to be a tourist destination. Sorry!
It is a park where you can see the remnants of stone walls and Honmaru moat, and in addition to those related to castles such as bell towers, it was a park with many attractions such as Tone Eireiden, which enshrines the war dead, the former Ikukata family residence of the national important cultural property, and the former Toki residence Western-style building.
I went there for the first time as part of a tour of Japan's Top 100 Castles. There are red fences written with Sanada Yukari in various places, and I realized that they were popular. The ruins of Numata Castle are parks, and I was able to get a castle stamp and stamp at the tourist information center.
During the Sengoku period (period of Warring States), it was a key point where military commanders such as Uesugi, Hojo, and Sanada fought a battle. In the past, a five-story castle tower was erected by Mr. Sanada. Currently, there are no castle towers, only a part of the moat and stone walls remain, but it is a remains that reminds you of the Sengoku period. Since it was early July, hydrangea was in full bloom.
Stop by when sightseeing in the Numata area. Currently, there is no castle tower in Numata Castle Ruins Park, and it has become a park that is easy to take a walk, such as the restored bell tower. Some stone walls remain, so I wonder if I could take a walk while looking for them. It is a recommended spot to spend a relaxing time.
