"Universal Studios Resort is a theme park resort in the U.S. state of Florida, consisting of 2 entertainment parks Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure, the Volcano Bay Water Park, several hotels and the Universal CityWalk Orlando shopping and entertainment area. Universal Orlando Resort is owned by the large American broadcaster NBC Universal, which also owns similar parks in Los Angeles, Japan and Singapore.Universal Studios Florida Park opened its streets to visitors on June 7, 1990, and Universal's Islands of Adventure on May 28, 1999. Following the new park, the Universal CityWalk zone and the water park were opened, and in September the first hotel in the resort was opened. At the moment, Universal Studio Resort is the 2nd most visited in Orlando after Walt Disney World Park and one of the most visited entertainment complexes in the world — the number of its visitors reaches 21 million people per year.Universal Studios Florida Amusement Park consists of 8 themed lands located around the lagoon — the Central Production Site, New York, San Francisco, Springfield, London or Diagon Alley, World Expo, Woody Woodpecker Children's Area and Hollywood. In each of the zones there are attractions and shows inspired by popular movies, TV and music, as well as cafes, restaurants and shops. Many of the park's past and present attractions were developed with the participation of the creators of the prototype films. For example, Steven Spielberg was a creative consultant when creating several attractions at once. And some famous actors even reprised their roles — Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Arnold Schwarzenegger and others."
