Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine is a Shinto shrine in Osaka’s Sumiyoshi ward. The shrine and other elements on the grounds are recognized as national treasures in Japan and are among the oldest examples of the so-called Sumiyoshi-zukuri architectural style. Historically, the shrine has a long and storied history, dating as far back as 211 CE. The shrine’s importance is also recognized through its leadership of the roughly 2,300 other Sumiyoshi shrines throughout Japan. Given this history as well as the beautiful design elements, Sumiyoshi Grand Shrine is a great place to visit.

Sumiyoshi Shrine is one of Japan's most renowned shrines and the head of approximately 2,300 Sumiyoshi shrines throughout Japan. At the beginning of each year, more than 2 million worshippers visit the shrine to pray for health and prosperity in the coming year. Encompassed by natural beauty, the shrine grounds overflow with spiritual spots offering a profound sense of history. It’s a very peaceful and tucked away shrine. There was barely anyone walking around when I went and it was a nice breather from the otherwise busy city.
I liked the photos of Japanese magazines. It was very warm and comfortable, so I made the Japanese photos in Japanese.
