This is a slope that goes up from the Temiya bus terminal in Otaru to Temiya Park and Otaru Inari Shrine. The slope of the slope becomes tight from the time of passing Temiya Elementary School, and the maximum slope is 24% (about 13.5 degrees). The origin of the name is unknown.

NHK Good Morning After watching the broadcast of "Challenge the Encouragement Slope" in Japan, I have been taking the challenge I have been thinking about for many years. It seems that there is a place where the maximum slope is 24% (about 13.5 degrees), and it was a steep slope that I had never experienced before. My heart is buzzing, my breath is tremendously high, but I'm glad I was able to conquer it.
It is a slope with a maximum slope of 24%, an altitude difference of 83m, and a slope of 904m from Temiya's bus terminal to Suehiro Junior High School (closed) at the top of Mt. Soeda. From the middle and top of the slope, you can see the cityscape of Otaru, which sticks to the opposite slope, Jumazaka, and the slopes of Jooji Temple.
