Show More ReviewsThe Panthéon, perched atop a hill in the Latin Quarter, is breathtakingly beautiful and majestic, especially at sunset when the sunlight reflects red off the exterior walls, creating a truly magnificent spectacle. I used to go there many times while studying abroad, taking advantage of the EU's free residency policy, but I didn't go in this time. I remember the giant Foucault pendulum hanging from the center of the dome. The crypts below hold the coffins of numerous great figures, the most notable of whom are Voltaire and Rousseau.
