Located at No. 1 Zhongshan Road, built in 1910-1911, German classical modern public building, originally a high-end social place for German upper-class people in Qingdao, Qingdao was reclaimed and changed to an international club.
The former site of Qingdao International Club is part of the Qingdao German complex. It is located in Shinan District, built in 1910, and is now a century-old history. It is currently occupied by the Zhongshan Road earthquake platform.
Zhongshan Road No. 1 is the first club built in Qingdao during the German occupation period and is a social place for the upper Germans. In 1922, the Chinese government reclaimed Qingdao and changed to an international club (also known as Qingdao General Association). After 1949, the club was closed, and the building was used as an office building of the "China-Suzhou Friendship Association" and "Qingdao Science and Technology Association".
