Qingdao Railway Station is located in the center of Qingdao. It has a striking red tile of roof, yellow wall and a spire-shaped clock tower. Qingdao Railway Station is still in use and is one of the landmark buildings in Qingdao. Qingdao Railway Station is mainly composed of two major parts: the clock tower and the waiting hall. It was designed by the Germans Weiler and Gedelz. This train station reproduces the architectural style of the designer's hometown, especially the station clock tower which also follows the style of a German country church.
